Trabrennbahn Hamburg-Bahrenfeld now partner of the Trotting Classics Tour!
Races for 2-year-old and 3-year-old horses on the Hamburg racetrack
In the coming years, several races of the Trotting Classic Tour (TCT) will be organized on the racetrack in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld. In 2021 and 2022 there will be a major race for 2-year-old horses, and in 2022 and 2023 a major race for 3-year-old horses. In addition, the racetrack will offer several TCT satellite races (preparation races).

When we first came into contact with the initiators of the TCT program, we were immediately impressed. The Trotting Classics Tour is a great initiative with new perspective for horse owners, breeders, trainers, racetracks and harness racing in general. We are very happy that we will be part of this concept.”
The racetrack in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld has a long history and an excellent surface. The racetrack is very well located for German, Dutch, Belgian, Danish and Swedish trainers and owners.
Robin Goudsblom, Chairman of the TCT Foundation, is looking forward to the future collaboration with Hamburg. “The Hamburg racetrack fits perfectly with the idea of the TCT. Hamburg has a very good reputation throughout Europe, the management is very motivated and the track is ready to support this plan. The partnership with the TCT stimulates international interest and offers all trainers and owners various options in choosing the right race for their nominated horses.”
The Dutch racetracks in Wolvega, Alkmaar and Duindigt are already partners of the TCT.
The Trotting Classics Tour is a new circuit for 2-, 3- and 4-year-old horses with 12 major races for horses of all nationalities and a total prize money of 415,000 euros per year. In addition to the 12 major races, 12 satellite races are offered. Part of the prize money (approximately 150.000 euros per year) is financed through sponsorship and the participating racetracks.
The closing date for entries for horses of the generation 2019 is 31st December 2020.
